L.G.F.U. – Tom Piper & Daniel Farley (NZ)

May 17th

Posted by The G Spot in General

Producer extraordinaire and prince of all things freshness, Tom Piper, has teamed up with New Zealand’s king of all things club, Daniel Farley, to deliver an electronic crawl-to-arms with L.G.F.U. – LET’S GET FUCKED UP! Set to dilate pupils across both sides of the Tasman with its glitched-up synth-driven hooks and acidicly hypnotic break down, L.G.F.U. is the party anthem for this decade.

Sneaking their synthesized rave wave and powdered ambitions into the dance halls of unsuspecting cities and towns, Tom Piper and Daniel Farley are set to bring the madness to the masses as they hit 10 clubs around the country with the L.G.F.U. Tour.

TOM PIPER

Some say he’s wanted in several cities for committing debauched acts of aural pleasure with multiple parties. Others say that he once drowned a procession of club goers in a pool of freshness but no jury in the land would convict him. Some even dare suggest he’s more machine than man, with oscillators in his throat and bass bins for lungs. DJ, producer, radio host, record label guy, man, myth, legend, freshmaker…Tom Piper… Call him what you will; just tell him where the party’s at first!

Since setting forth on his mission to promote better living through freshmaking, the Sydney‐side hotshot has positioned himself at the forefront of the Australian dance scene. Placing at #1 on the coveted Sony ITM50 DJ Poll in NSW and #6 nationwide, his DJ sets of label exclusives, re‐edits & freshass booties have caused crowd riots all round Australia and we have had reports of disturbances in Asia & Europe this past year. You can find his original productions, remixes and tunes from his labels (bambamMuzik, No Frills Label & Bakehaus Records) at the top of the ARIA charts or they can be heard reverberating through the record bags of people like Laidback Luke to Tiesto and many others of the global DJ elite.

Trying to pin a professional appreciator like Tom Piper to a single genre is like telling Casanova to keep it in his pants.. his preference is everything and more; an orgy of music that has seen Piper’s prolific output and supreme decksterity demanded by the biggest brands in the biz ‐ now signed to Ministry of Sound.. he has also done work for Mixmash, Sony, Dim Mak and more. Tom’s tunes can be found on worldwide CD releases like FABRICLIVE, but he’s also going platinum sales with his own mix CD’s, applying his midas touch to compilations that shift mega units without breaking a sweat. These CDs are loaded with things like his #1 record “All My Friends” (now signed to MOS UK) and official remixes he’s done for people like Dizzee Rascal, Lil Wayne, Sidney Samson, Pitbull, Kissy Sell Out, Britney Spears.. the list goes on!

Like many in his shoes he has been featured on BBC’s Radio 1 & Australia’s Triple J, but now it’s Piper’s time to call the shots.. Tom is the newly crowned host of Ministry of Sound Radio on Austereo right across Australia, serving up a weekly dose of electronic ecstasy and issuing each offering the stamp of quality that only he can provide: 100% Certified Freshness!

Behind the decks, on the air, in the studio ‐ it’s all just part of the package, another day’s play for the princely freshmaker who continues to push the boundaries of dance music on the worldwide stage.

Daniel Farley

For the past 7 years Daniel Farley has been a name synonymous with firing up dancefloors across Australasia and it continues to be more fervently than ever in 2011.

Daniel is the #1 Electro/House DJ in New Zealand as voted by the NZ Nite:Life awards in 2010. He has supported every international and played every festival worth playing in the southern hemisphere in his time, from Paul Van Dyk to Crookers, Carl Cox to Deadmau5, Afrojack to Dubfire, Rusko to Roska. And playing Parklife, Summadayze, Rhythym and Vines, Creamfields, Slinky, Ministry Of Sound and more.

Daniel is a Universal music consultant on all things electronic and a NZ Ministry Of Sound resident running all of the parties there and representing the brand as a whole, his sound is represented both through underground and overground sets, and can just as easily play a myriad of scorching club bangers as he can muster a chugging tech house builder set.

He is one of the co-owners of reputable nu-school house label Bakehaus records, along with Tom Piper, who he also joins up with as production partner for on various singles such as ‘Airbag’ and ‘Give Me Money’. He has also remixed for top labels like Sweat It Out and Hussle, worked closely with Aussie stalwarts Danny T and Blaze Tripp along with his regular kiwi comprade Tim Corin. His latest foray with Tim – Samurai , featuring legendary local MC Woody on vocals is a crack-house monster due for release late September, that is no doubt tipped to turn heads and set clubs alight in the coming months – you can listen to the preview of the forthcoming here:

All in all you get the best of both worlds when Daniel Farley steps up to the decks, confident of tackling the dancefloor with what they need whilst pushing upfront goodness onto the crowd that is always appreciated.
